On December 20th, 2009, we had Harley Touring with 4 members of Mr. Nara from Shiretoko, Hokkaido; 4 bikes for members of Mr. Nara, 2 bikes from Dewata Harley, and 8 bikes for Harley members, all 18 bikes for the touring! We were worried about weather because it’s rainy season now, but we had nice weather except short rain around Kintamani. We enjoyed touring by leading of 2 police motorcycles!

| In this time, the date was over wrapped for moving our office, so Director HIRO-chan and Mami-chan couldn’t join the touring. Instead of them, the guide manager, Agus joins! He can ride Harley easily, reliable dad of 3 kids. Leaving by 18 bikes, let’s go! |

Taman Ujung 〜 Kintamani

| As last time, through by-pass and drive along the sea shore. Well-proved roadway doesn’t have many car, so it’s like the chartered road for us! | Across the big bridge. Around here is the flat land, and it’s great view of fields and hills. |

| Through Sanur〜Kusamba〜Goa Lawah, go into Karang Asem. | Just after entering Karang Asem, we take the first break. It takes about 1 hour to get here. Have a favorite drink. |
| Mr. Nara and members, all of them look really groovy. I talked with them, and I figured out they are all fishermen!! I understand that why they are so cool… They don’t go fishing during winter, so they have a vacation in whole winter. I envy them!!! |

We take the second break here. Indonesian domestic tourists are also visiting there, and they take pictures with Harleys!! |

Indonesian Lunch Buffet. There are also soup, dessert and fruit. Everybody likes the food and they have second helping! |

We can see the calm rice terrace, jungle, and Badung Channel far away. There are semi-open seats, so we can feel cool winds. Food are all tasty, especially, Pisang Goreng (fried banana) and Bubur Injin (black bean pudding) are delicious!! |
Kintamani 〜 Dewata Harley

After we take long lunch time and become full, again, we are ahead to north, Kintamani. We drive to up to the high land little by little, and through small village road and green forest. It’s good point of Harley Touring that we can drive the road and can see the view which we cannot have the chance in the regular sightseeing! |

| Around 2:30 pm, arrived at Kintamani! The height is over 1300 m, so the air is cool. If it’s nice weather, we can see the great view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur over there, but it’s often foggy in the afternoon. Details of Kintamani |

| Women & children sellers are famous of Kintamani. We just take pictures as one memory! | From Kintamani, we go down through Tampaksiring to Ubud. It was little bit rain on the way, but it stopped soon. |

| We go back to by-pass on the way. About 4:00 pm, we arrived at Dewata Harley as on the schedule. They always enjoy touring in Hokkaido, they could finish touring without problem! | Mr. Nara and members still have energy. After a short break, they said, “Let’s go to drink!” and left with wearing HIRO-chan original Harley T-shirt… Wow, that’s the fisherman. Thank you for today! |
Check Points of Harley Touring
- Helmets are prepared with the bike, but we don’t offer globes and san glasses. Please bring your own d as your needs!
- Do not wear sandals and slippers. It’s dangerous. Please wear shoes!
- It’s windy more than you expect and it’s chilly in the higher land. We recommend you to bring your jacket!
- Bali’s weather changes quickly, so you may better to prepare clothes for change!
Postscript
This was my third time to cover Harley Touring. Starting rainy season, I was worried about the weather at first, but it was good weather from the morning, and we just had short rain around Kintamani. We were lucky! This time, 2 police motorcycles escorted us; as usual, not stop the red sign, no traffic jam, and control other cars, it was VIP Touring!
Our guests really enjoyed, “I had great FUN! I cannot imagine skipping the red sign in my country! I bring other touring members next time!!” Yes, please come to Bali again! We would like to see you again.
In addition, the next schedule is already decided! 12th HIRO-chan Harley Touring is held in February 13 & 14, 2010 ! Next time, we welcome many ladies’ riders next time. Now we open the application, so please enter if you are interested in!
